On the morning of March 8, 2025, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Đắk Lắk Province, the Western Highlands Agro-Forestry Scientific and Technical Institute (WASI), in collaboration with Binh Dinh Fertilizer and General Services Joint Stock Company (Biffa), organized a seminar titled “Biochar and Its Application in Sustainable Agricultural Production”.
The event attracted 120 delegates from various domestic and international organizations, including the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), the Vietnam Fertilizer Association, the Japan Green Biochar Technology and Ecology Association (GBT), as well as representatives from local departments (mainly from the Central Highlands region), specialized research institutes, universities, agricultural service providers, businesses, and individuals committed to sustainable agricultural development. Ms. Đỗ Thị Dịu, representing Biochar Vietnam, was honored to attend this significant event.
The seminar aimed to promote the development of a circular, smart, and sustainable agricultural sector in Vietnam through the application of biochar. This solution not only helps improve soil health and increase crop yield and quality but also contributes to reducing soil pollution, limiting heavy metal and pesticide residues, and playing an active role in climate change mitigation.
At the event, Biffa showcased its Household Biochar Production Unit Model along with a variety of biochar products developed by the company, which generated significant interest among the participants.
